Hello, my name is Esteban Cole. I will be teaching the bilingual component. This is my 5th year at La Promesa and will be teaching 5th grade. I was born in Quito, Ecuador. I lived in Boston for a couple of years and have been in Albuquerque for 11 years. I attended Manzano HS and graduated from UNM. I received my BA in Spanish from the University of New Mexico and a minor in Portuguese. I also spent 3 years at CNM doing my post-baccalaureate degree in Education receiving my teaching license in Kinder through 8th grade with endorsements in Bilingual Education, TESOL, and Modern and Classical Languages. I am currently working on a master's degree in Pedagogy and Learning at Eastern New Mexico University. And attending the University of Alcala, Madrid for a second masters in teaching Spanish as a second language. I am a highly qualified bilingual teacher that will provide the best education for all students. My future goal in education is to attain a master's degree in educational leadership and become an instructional coach or a principal.

I am a very active person. In the past 4 years, I coached soccer, flag football, volleyball, and cross country. Coaching has been a great experience for myself and for the students who participate in the sports. I am very proud to get out there and represent La Promesa. I have a 6-year-old daughter who is my world, I want to become the best I can so she can also accomplish great things in life.
