On 1/22/19 at 10:22, the LPELC Director, Chris Jones, was contacted by the Director of School Budget, Mr. David Craig. Mr. Craig called to personally notify Mr. Jones that the New Mexico Public Education Department (New Mexico Gubernatorial-appointed PED administration) decided upon review of the school's Financial Improvement Plan and progress made since August 2016, to return LPELC's Board of Finance, effective immediately.
The LPELC administration and governance board would like to thank LPELC parents, students, staff, city leaders, local community, and New Mexico Public Education Commission for their support of the school during its most challenging times. The school would also like to offer a special "thank you" to Michael and Mike Vigil of the Vigil Group LLC as well as Mrs. Patty Matthews of Matthews Fox, P.C.
