Beginning Monday, March 16, New Mexico K-12 public schools will close for three weeks to mitigate the risk of community spread of COVID-19. While the closing is currently effective through April 6, it may be extended as conditions warrant. NMPED and New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) are working together on a daily basis to share the most current information as well as to consult on protocols, procedures and best practices. Hello! My name is Jessica Estevan and this is my fourth year with Albuquerque Bilingual Academy! I am very excited to work with your bright and inquisitive children! The connection that I make with students through creativity is what drives my artistic inspiration.

I was raised on a small farm in Pojoaque, New Mexico. My Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree was earned at Oregon College of Art & Craft in Portland, OR and earned my Level II Elementary Teaching (with an endorsement in Visual Arts credentials at SFCC.

Growing up in a rural, impoverished community, it has been a lifelong promise to give every bit of the education I have earned back to the local youth. Also a professional artist, I spend a lot of my time creating large paintings inspired by New Mexico culture. Aside from the studio, I am busy with exhibitions, pop ups, collaborations and commission. I look forward to sharing as much of this knowledge as possible with Albuquerque Bilingual Academy, in efforts to give students the confidence to accomplish alternative or challenging paths in the future!
